P.S. Bangkok | Lakeview | Asian, Thai | Restaurant
Consistent neighborhood Thai restaurant with a pleasant ambience and broad menu.

Our Review

The daddy of local Thai restaurants, this 25-year-old eatery is fancier than most, with white linen on the tables, a gold-painted tin ceiling, and wood carvings displayed in an intricate case. The huge menu has something for everyone: there are 13 salads alone, including a succulent one of char-grilled shrimp, lemongrass, and papaya tossed in a coconut-milk-and-lemon vinaigrette and topped with roasted chiles, ground peanuts, and mint. Others worth a try include the lemony squid, ground meat, and ginger pork salads. Among the more than 40 entrees are mussel pancakes in a spicy Thai barbecue sauce; marinated duck in five spices, slow cooked and served with crispy rice noodles; and drunken beef -- strips of beef stir-fried with string beans and hot peppers and splashed with whiskey. There are close to a dozen curry, rice, and noodle dishes too.
