MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 3100 BLOCK OF NORTH HUDSON, 9 PM. Burglary. 32-year-old female victim, startled by noise in kitchen, fled apartment for neighbor's. Upon returning discovered kitchen window open and potted arugula plant missing. Police observed offender had to scale 15 feet to reach plant, valued at $9.90.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 100 BLOCK OF WEST CARROLL, 1 PM. Theft. Witnesses observed male offender remove rear window from red 1998 Ford four-door and place inside a Ford Aerostar minivan.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 17 E. MONROE, 9 PM. Theft. Security guard at Palmer House Hilton observed male and female offenders take elevator to 16th floor and enter vending area. Offenders closed the door, but guard forced his way in, observing male offender fishing quarters from soda machine with a metal hook. Police later retrieved $25.50 in quarters from offenders' pockets.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2800 BLOCK OF NORTH DAMEN, 4:38 AM. Public indecency. Male victim and his fiancee observed male cabdriver at gas station open pants and urinate in public view. Victim asked offender to leave and was refused. Offender then entered cab, pulled toward couple, and began yelling. Victim attempted to report incident to cab company but was informed that complaints were not received before 8 AM.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 3400 BLOCK OF WEST 79TH, 7:30 PM. Armed robbery. Two men held up restaurant, making away with $25. Police later reported counter and register were too dirty to dust for fingerprints.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 50 W. WASHINGTON, 10:55 AM. Unlawful possession of fireworks. Police officer attending traffic court in Daley Center observed 33-year-old male offender "acting in a suspicious manner (shouting unusual phrases scaring passersby)." Officer confronted offender, who replied, "What's up, piggy? What you want?" During pat down officer discovered four Dixie Dynamite brand firecrackers in offender's right pants pocket.
