With all the fine live and recorded musical activity in the Chicago area, how can Peter Margasak spend an entire Post No Bills cover article on Tim Adams, "Ajax Won't Quit" (July 31)? Not to take anything away from vendor Tim Adams and his quest to sell seven-inch singles next to the Empty Bottle tavern and Wednesday-night jazz joint.

And how about the recent opus on "millionaire's son opens indie rock label!" [July 24]? Now that is hard to do!

Old bands, new bands, old record labels (like Southport), new record labels (like Okka Disk) can't get a record review or an ant's scrap of press, but Peter continues to explore the inner sector of his world.

Perhaps there are bills posted over Pete's ears.
