Re: “Betrayed

I was in Dupage county jail with Pam and went to Dwight with her. We spent our quarantine time locked alone in a cell for over a week together. She is one of the smartest girls I have ever met. At the time we were together Pam's way of dealing with what happened was to convince herself that her Mother committed suicide. Pam said she felt because her Mother did not try to fight back when she was being attacked that she must have wanted to die and that was her way of committing suicide. Also, of all the long hours Pam and I spent together talking about her family she NEVER once said Bart was a satan worshiper. I think that would have been something she would have mentioned had it been so. I personally am glad to hear she was released. Her attorney told her she would probably not even do 5 years. And she truly thought he was right. People can say what they want about her and of course it was a horrific crime that she was involved in. She will suffer with guilt until the day she dies over this, but Pam changed a lot in my life. She taught me a lot about our Lord Jesus and I will always consider her my sister in Christ. I still have the Bible she gave me in August of 1985 and I read it everyday. So I think of her often always wondering what became of her. I still don't know because I just found this story on 2/21/12. I hope all of the kids that were involved with this crime have asked for the Lords forgiveness. I wish Pam, Debbie and Bart nothing but the best with the rest of their lives. I think they all suffered enough before the crime and even more so after. They all deserve some peace in their lives now. Pam if you see this, LYDBNQ, Pat
