Re: “We ate at Chicago's first Olive Garden so now you don't have to

are there better places to eat in the city? obviously. sometimes you just want cheap and crappy food from a chain restaraunt. this new breed of foodie snobs who just regurgitate things anthony bourdain says is getting old. I get it, you're too good for Olive Garden but you'll probably wait an hour in line for a slice of pie. I'm going to say there's a good chance you grew up in the suburbs which means you've probably at some point eaten at olive garden and already knew what to expect. why bash it? is it to score points with the art students that will probably work there someday when their career as a blogger fails? were you honestly expecting to be blown away by the menu and quality of food? tomorrow im going to eat at dennys and write some lazy article about how the food isn't very good in the douchiest tone possible. maybe ill even pop into a pizza hut just so I can tell everyone that pequods is better. I'm glad you're too good for olive garden. more cheap and tasty breadsticks for me.
