In back-to-back solo shows, performers Christopher L. Moore and Ali Clayton recount their struggles with anorexia and a "rainbow of learning disabilities," respectively. The more straightforward of the two is Moore's raw and honest Hunger Pains, in which he describes how maintaining an eating disorder requires not only self-loathing but also ingenuity and incredible willpower. Though his story is fascinating, the telling often feels rushed and unsure. The opposite problem bedevils Clayton's I'm Different, Not Dumb—she's a charismatic performer, but the material is lacking. A narrated slide show about her childhood in special ed (she's dyslexic among other things) and on the pageant circuit is hilarious, but most of the piece is consumed by character sketches filled with standard-issue wackiness. —Zac Thompson
