Well, the apocalypse is finally upon us. While Wicker Park burns outside, a few lucky theatergoers have gathered in Collaboraction's hardened shelter, which is judiciously equipped with strobe lights, a DJ spinning tribal house, and a cash bar. It's New B'ak'tun Eve, after all, according to the Mayan Long Count calendar. Various New Agey stations (Box of Secrets for closure, Love Lounge for awkward conversation) distract us until a performance of sorts emerges. Nathan Green directs the halting, frequently aimless show—an uncomfortable mix of faux-shamanic ritual and audience interaction. It's the sort of unique experience I'd like to see succeed, but there's not much entertainment value or substance here. Just an unusual party concept. —Keith Griffith
