Old Yeller

One of the most memorable of Walt Disney's live-action films, perhaps because it stays so close to the traumatic family themes of the cartoon features. Tommy Kirk is the Texas farm boy who befriends a hunting dog; Dorothy McGuire and Fess Parker are his uncomprehending parents. With Kevin Corcoran, Beverly Washburn, and Chuck Connors; Robert Stevenson directed (1957).
