Ode to Daniel

To the editors:

(In regards to your article on Daniel Sotomayor, "The Angriest Queer," August 17)

Daniel is one of my heroes. He's easy to love, to look at, to hug or laugh with.

His anger is in direct balance with his vibrancy for life.

None of us survives without recognizing the preciousness, the worth of life . . . that means fighting for it sometimes.

He's not mean . . . he's passionate and caring, and how amazingly more so he seems in the face of those that are dim in his light.
