Re: “Another Year

Really enjoyed this film. I don't see the comparison to Woody Allen, however. If Mike Leigh were to be compared to any American writer/director, it would have to be John Sayles. Both make films that are character-driven and quiet.

Re: “Last Train Home

One of the most powerful documentaries I've ever seen.

Re: “Obamacare for Artists

"Perhaps most amazing, there'll be reasonable limits on what any one person or family has to pay out for medical expenses in a single year: in today's dollars they'd be $5,950 for an individual, $11,900 for a family, not including insurance premiums."

Since when was $11,900/year 'reasonable?' My husband and I pay around $6000 in premiums. That would make nearly $18,000/year possible, and given the way our insurance company has behaved in the past, that would be one out-patient surgery.

This is not real reform at all.
