You wrote "downspout" (a vertical drain used to drain water from a roof) when I think you meant "waterspout" (tornado-like whirlwind that forms above a body of water). When P.G. Wodehouse's Bertie Wooster and Jeeves were stuck on top of a gazebo with, I think, geese honking and pecking at them, Bertie, hoping to escape, asked Jeeves, "Now where is that downspout about which you spoke so highly?"
