I've been working here since we opened last year, and I can't begin to tell you how amazed I am by how many stupid questions I get. This lady came in from outside--this was just last week--and I asked her if she wanted to sit inside or outside. Her exact words to me were, "How is the weather outside?" I was just dumbfounded--I must have looked at her like she was speaking another language. The next time someone asks me that I'm going to tell them it's snowing. Other examples of stupid questions: People come in after studying the menu on the door, sit down at a table, order a drink, then ask if it's the Greek restaurant that used to be here two years ago; when I say "No, it's completely different, we have American cuisine," they get up and leave because they want Greek food. Then there's the huge sign on the patio that says "Please see host inside for seating": people read it, walk right past it and seat themselves, and then when they're sitting there with nothing and I go up to them, they say the host seated them. I'm the host! I just don't think people pay attention anymore, and I'm a little amazed by that.
