The master principle of film noir—that everyone is corruptible—turns a pinwheel of plot complications in this fleet, stylish little crime drama from Mexico. Three petty crooks in Mexico City strike a bargain with a fearsome Russian mobster (they'll supply him with computer access codes to Swiss bank accounts in exchange for a cache of diamonds), but the deal goes sour after the key man, a hapless young hacker (Diego Luna), delivers the wrong CD-ROM. By the time the last body hits the ground, numerous bystanders have been pulled into the intrigue, many of them motivated by greed or rage. Hugo Rodriguez directed a script by Martin Salinas; with Lucas Crespi and Daniel Gimenez Cacho. In Spanish with subtitles. R, 93 min.
