Re Ted Shen's review of the Daniel Barenboim-Chicago Symphony Concert in Grant Park [September 27]:

Shen writes that the orchestra played "'My Kind of Town'--a predictable choice." How predictable could it be when this wasn't even that song? It was Fred Fisher's "Chicago," as in "that toddlin' town," not Sammy Cahn's much later composition "My Kind of Town." (See Trib & Sun reviews.)

And this guy calls himself a music critic? And says Solti is "quirky"?

Readers Patner and Connolly are right. Though pop music is not my accustomed beat, I promise to listen to both tunes in the coming weeks until I can tell them apart.
