Though many think of the Internet as something like a telephone, communicating by that means is more like sending a telegram. So the actors in a "performance collage" gleaned entirely from Web postings must supply all the auxiliary clues to the speaker's meaning--vocal mannerisms, facial expressions, fluctuations in tempo and emphasis. But while some of the players in this late-night WNEP Theater production treat the anonymous correspondence they deliver as fodder for easy laughs, others--notably Brian Goodman, Rian Jairell, and Alison Mayer--respect their sources. Resisting the lure of self-aggrandizing irony, they emphasize the dignity of the citizens who share their stories online. Through 12/4: Fri-Sat 10:30 PM. Bailiwick Repertory, Bailiwick Arts Center, 1229 W. Belmont, 773-883-1090. $12.
