In her mystery novels, Agatha Christie demonstrated a knack for making fantastical crimes seem plausible. Theater Unspeakable takes the opposite tack with this spoof of Christie's 1934 Murder on the Orient Express, giving homicide a goofy, almost kid-friendly spin. Three cast members quick-change their way through 15 characters riding a bullet train between Chicago and Toronto in the year 2050. When the train's owner is found dead, a blundering private security guard takes up the case. The cast handle their many roles with cartoonish mutability, and the dizzying pace makes the group-devised piece feel like a candy-aisle binge. —Keith Griffith
