Re: “Busted City

After seeing 'Busted City' opening weekend, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. It was far more realistic in both tone and language than most 'gritty/urban' productions I've seen locally. Be warned, however, that the dialogue accurately depicts how real Chicagoans speak, and is definitely NOT politically correct. Cast-wise, everyone was given ample room to shine, with the gentleman portraying the Postman a particular stand-out. Overall, I would recommend 'Busted City' to anyone who enjoys the darker, more nuanced aspects of Chicago history, and to anyone looking to try something a bit different. Just be sure to leave the kids at home!
