Re: “Evergreen

We had the "Deluxe for 3" Dinner, which was certainly A LOT of food for the money, and most of it was very good, if not excellent. Favorite was the Beef Kow. Service, however, was another matter. The waiters were practically invisible, and only stayed at the table long enough to "drop and run." It was difficult to ask for anything, as they were moving so fast. But, water glasses stayed filled, and the food kept coming - always hot. So, if you're looking for reasonably priced Chinese in Chinatown, and are not concerned about level of service or general atmosphere (somewhat loud and crowded), this is probably a good bet.

Re: “The Spot

Our experience at Frankie J's was just great. They are BYOB, but very accommodating, and do not charge a corking fee. Favorites included the jalapeno ravioli and the sauteed zucchini side dish. Everything that we have had at Frankie J's was well prepared and bursting with flavors. A hidden gem in Uptown.
