Re: “Turquoise Cafe

The food is wonderful! The service SUCKS! We did not feel welcome. The waitress took 15 minutes to bring us menus; we then waited 20 minutes to place our order. If the place had been busy it would have been bad enough, but there were only four other occupied tables. The waitress acted as if we were an inconvenience. The host just said to sit anywhere and went back to his converstion with his friend. No one brought us a wine/drink menu...I went and picked up one from the host station. The only one who did a good job was the bus boy. He brought us the bread and spread, water, and silver ware. The only thing this place has going for it is the food. The food is great! I would try it again and sit in another server's section. The two other waiters seems to be doing a much better job (one had the outdoor seating the other had three tables in the front). Also, the menu they have posted on this site is not up-to-date. If it wasn't for the service (the worst I've ever experienced), I would highly recommend this place.

Re: “Brownstone Tavern & Grill

Very popular but the food isn't all that good. The waitress didn't know how to open a bottle of wine. The salad was wilted. The food was overcooked and the spices were underdone. The tater tots and min-wiches were good.

Re: “O'Donovan's

O'Donmovan's has the best dessert in Chicago land...the grilled butter rum cake. Not too sweet with a blend of flavors; vanilla, butter, chocolate, rum, raspberries -- perfection! And the dinner specials are a great deal!
