Playwright Jill Olson has a knack for setting up intriguing dramatic moments. A cross-dresser tries to find the courage to wear a dress to lunch with his father. A woman returns to her sexually abusive father's home to celebrate her little sister's pregnancy. Two teenage girls confess childish transgressions while perhaps making a suicide pact. But in these six short plays--total running time just over an hour--she doesn't show much interest in moving beyond her setups, making for a largely static evening. It doesn't help that the four directors' cursory work often leaves basic narrative questions unaddressed. For instance, is the high school kid in one of the pieces arguing with a bizarrely dressed friend or an imaginary rabbit? --Justin Hayford
