Raunchy stand-up comedian Martin Lawrence is in payback mode for this concert filmed at the DAR's Constitution Hall in Washington. Before he takes the stage, reporters for fictional infotainment shows detail his real-life arrests and hospitalizations, then Lawrence tells his side, explaining that he's been “crucified” by “all the devils who want to take out God's child.” Failing to provide any insight into his plight as a rich African-American celebrity, he moves on to the hard stuff, describing how the husband of a cancer patient might use her tracheal-bypass tube as an erotic orifice, how you can beat your kids discreetly with a seat-belt buckle, and how, after he has sex with a menstruating lover, his bed “looks like a crime scene.” David Raynr directed. 100 min.
