This can be a great date restuarant because the close tables are the ultimate test of romantic interest. Both people have to want to create their own shared space rather than just eavesdrop on the people next to them. If you walk out after having an intimate discussion then good things will follow. This isn't just making a virtue out of a necessity because the food is uncomplicated but flavorful and presented well, with sufficient variety for those so inclined to display some subtle sophistication. There are plenty of healthy choices on the menu but there is no dodging the large portions. So, bring a big appetite and a date with something to say and you will be delighted, especially when the check leaves room in the entertainment budget for a movie or show.
