To the editors:

I would like to applaud Bill Wyman on his review of Madonna's Truth or Dare [June 21]. Siskel and Ebert take note! I have always felt that Madonna's "talent" has been her minimal skills as a dancer, every time I hear a tune of hers with her overproduced, oversynthesized vocals, I cringe. Yet her money-making corporation keeps churning out the magazine articles that extoll her "genius." Ahead of her time, a trendsetter? What is so daring about changing your hair color every few months?

Now Miss Madonna realizes that the 12- and 13-year-olds that made her celebrity possible are in their mid-20s, their tastes have matured. She now wants to be a movie star, however, as Mr. Wyman so accurately demonstrates, adults will not be so easily manipulated as to be told what true talent is.
