There's not much love in this 1975 grindhouse item, an unlikely marriage of vigilante movies and hardcore porn, but two out of three ain't bad. The story concerns a rogue group of CIA men and retired military brass that declares war on the mafia; for some reason the criminals are seen almost exclusively during sessions with cheap hookers. It's typical of the movie's imagination that the most powerful don is a balding used-car salesman type who likes to watch his enemies have sex before he murders them. This is an authentically decrepit vision of immorality, and director Norbert Meisel, composing resourcefully in anamorphic widescreen, has the virtue of being unique even in his moments of ineptitude. One blurry close-up of an actress's pubis, inserted with surprising regularity, evokes the surface of an alien planet. Also known as Mafia Girls.
