Last Minute Replacement

To the editors:

In regards to the 11/29 Reader review of the Free Associates' production of The Jo Anne Worley Family Christmas Seance, I would like to openly apologize to Carol Eggers, who appeared as Janis Joplin on opening night as a last minute replacement for the actress originally scheduled to play Joplin, who was hospitalized the day before the aforementioned performance. With less than 24 hours to prepare, Carol more than rose to the occasion.

In preparing our press and program materials, the Company made a judgment error: we chose to credit Carol's performance without further clarifying the situation at hand. This was a poor choice.

Please accept our apologies, Carol.
