Good "North Carolina-style" "white folks" barbecue. Ribs are OK(low on smoke, but pretty well cooked and decent sauce), jambalaya is good, pulled pork is excellent, sides are very interesting (sweet potato fries, spicy cornbread, baked beans). There are desserts, but I've always been full long before I got that far. Music is consistently good, and not too loud.

The Bebop falls into the category of what I call a food factory -- predictably good food and service, very efficiently run, very user friendly.

Re: “Podhalanka Polska Restauracja

Polish home cooking doesn't get any better than this! This is one of those great hole-in-the-wall, Ma-and-Pa restaurants that you hear about but can never find. Someone who lives in the neighborhood told me about it five years ago, and I've been a regular ever since. Food is consistently good home cooking. Entrees are prepared to order, soups have been around just long enough for their flavors to get "just right." The decor is quite plain, the view from the street is even more so. If you didn't know better, you'd pass this place by 100 times out of 100.

Re: “Andies Restaurant

Food is consistently good, service is consistently poor. They must give lessons to the waitstaff on how to ignore their customers.

Re: “Wishbone

Wishbone consistently has very good food. It's hard to be unhappy with the food. Service is mostly good, but wasn't this time around.

Re: “India House

This rating is for the buffet, which is our current favorite of all the Indian buffets in Chicago. Food items are the freshest, the selection changes relatively often, and the restaurant is quite pleasant. We have not been nearly as pleased when ordering off the menu.
