Let me add a woman's complaint to the general disgust with Erin Hogan's silly article ["Jerked Around," October 27]: In addition to causing a man with two children to lose his income and wasting a good deal of public time and money, Ms. Hogan trivializes the legitimate concerns of women who have suffered real attacks and injustices. Apparently unable to distinguish between an offense to her precious sensibilities and a threat to her person, she goes a long way to keep the image of women as hysterical, cowering ninnies alive.

Ms. Hogan, allow me to let you in on my secret method for dealing with men who touch themselves in my Botticelli-like presence: take a deep breath and yell "Boo!"
