@Jake: My comment was intended to reflect the guide's apparent nervousness, not his speech abilities. He spoke without any problem during the tasting portion of the tour. If he had a speech impediment of any kind it wasn't obvious to me.

I believe Tiny Lounge is in North Center, not Lincoln Square--though it's close, and the distinction may be splitting hairs.

It's not a mistaken translation; in Chile pisco sours are traditionally made with lemon or limon de pica (which I've never found in the U.S.). I linked above to a post in which I compare pisco sours made with lemon to ones made with lime.

@Le-trombone: I don't have a bread machine, but my parents do--they don't live nearby, but maybe I'll try a side-by-side experiment next time I go home for a visit.

@Amy: I definitely bake bread less in the summer, but I still do it on cooler days. I am curious to see whether I get more fermentation when my place is warmer (it's been a month or so since I've baked any).

@jen b: I think a 12-18 hour rise gives a good depth of flavor--maybe not quite as good as a longer fermentation, but it's not a dramatic difference. Also, good to know that Half Italian has pizza dough; I love that place.

What exactly are you quoting, jt1929? The phrase "People who aren't from these communities" doesn't appear anywhere in the article or the comments. Neither does the word "belong."

The recipe for Jasper's Rum Punch calls for a one-to-one ratio of overproof rum to the mix, but that would make a very strong cocktail. I think adding a little pineapple juice, sparkling water, or sparkling wine (or a combination) would probably work well.
