When my wife and I have a yen for fish, we head to Pier5736 on Sundays or Tuesdays, where you have a choice of five, ten dollar specials. With the exception of the decor, which is completely fine, but not swank or fancy, this restaurant is on a par with just about any Lakeview or Lincoln Park eatery. And as for value there's no comparison. We've not had a bad meal here yet. I've had trout perch tilapia catfish salmon and even skate etc... Blackened, fried, sauteed, so on. All very fresh. Today I had grilled salmon with a lemon pepper seasoning My wife had the fresh lake perch, which was lightly breaded and very moist. Both pieces of fish were just right and nicely portioned. With dinner you get a small mixed greens salad, roasted red potatoes and a vegetable dish. We also had a grilled shrimp appetizer which again was spot on regarding taste and presentation. The servers are friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Not your typical northwest side restaurant. A must visit for seafood lovers.
