Re: “Sabor a Cuba

We had a group of 6 eat at Sabor A Cuba on the night after their grand opening. All 6 of us really enjoyed our meals. We had a couple of mixed appetizer plates which were very nice (though skip it if you are a vegetarian) - the empanadas were wonderful. We had a wide variety of entrees - chicken, pork, steak and shrimp - very different tastes in each entree and all were quite successful. We will definitely be back. It's currently BYOB.

Re: “Francesca's on Bryn Mawr

First of all let me say I'm a big fan of Francesca's. Mia and Taylor street are two of my favorite Chicago Italian restraunts -always fantastic food. So when Francesca's on Bryn Mawr opened I was naturally very excited - only a mile or two from our house! It wasn't a good experience. I don't mind waiting for tables, but the host should give an accurate estimate - our '45 minute wait' turned into 90 minutes. The food, which was so consistantly good at the other Francesca's, was bland and unmemorable. I'll go back because I'm hoping it was a fluke - my other Francesca's meals have been too good to believe otherwise.
