After bleating his way into our homes as Goat Boy on Saturday Night Live in the mid-90s, Jim Breuer went on to star as bong-wielding Brian in the quintessential stoner comedy, Half Baked. These days the sleepy-eyed 43-year-old comic is transitioning out of munchie jokes. His soon-to-be-released book, I'm Not High (Gotham), and current tour present a grown-up Breuer whose laughs come mostly from his misadventures as a father. Breuer jokes, for example, about how he hates listening to kids' music and wishes bands like Metallica could come up with decent substitute for "The Wheels on the Bus." He also combines his trademark silliness with a newfound sensitivity in material about his experiences caring for an elderly parent. Devotees of the early, immature Breuer needn't despair, though--his slapstick antics haven't changed, and maybe he'll still make room for Joe Pesci impressions and stories about late nights with Tracy Morgan and the rest of the SNL cast. --Marissa Oberlander
