Re: “Requiem for a Teenage Cross-Dresser

It was so hard for me to deal with this shit. I am very thankful for the job Todd Savage did in trying to capture Quona. It is such a sad thing for me, and I miss my brother so much. He was a much better person than I am, many people who were his friends have probably forgotten about him, but I still think about him 26 years later. My mother a few years later, and now I am alone. Covenant Presbyterian Church of Chicago has become a bastion for white supremacists. The people of Covenant have excommunicated me, I guess Quona and I both said things that people are hurt by, because they are often true.

Re: “Requiem for a Teenage Cross-Dresser

I have to admit that the statements I made, were made up of grief, and anger at myself for being unable to save my brother. Todd actually wrote a much longer article, but it had to be trimmed for the paper. My father, brother, and mother are all dead. I guess the loneliness caused me to lash out, without Todd's article, there would be no memorial for my brother Quona. I am sorry it took almost 30 years, thank you so very much Todd Savage.

Re: “Requiem for a Teenage Cross-Dresser

At the end of the day my brother is dead Todd's article at least makes a better story than the truth.... I'm sure Quona would have hated it and beat the shit out of Todd. Todd you're very lucky that Quona's dead....

Re: “Requiem for a Teenage Cross-Dresser

My name is Mr. Jermel A. Clark. I'm the brother of Quona R. Clark. This article misrepresents so much of who my brother was that it is pathetic. I really would like it removed from your website a retraction printed and a formal apology issued to the surviving members of our family for the abject human indignity of having our sorrow used for the sake of jocularity. This article does not depict the person that Quona truly was. I will file a lawsuit based upon the inconsistencies with the truth.
