Re: “At Profiles Theatre the drama—and abuse—is real

I think it is important to mention that this theater is located in a residential building. I used to live in an apartment on the second floor, and I can say that I used to curse this theater company daily. No one associated with Profiles give any care to the fact that people lived in the building. They treated the entire building as if it was theirs, and those who paid to live there were in their way. They would build sets with extremely loud construction noise at all hours of the night. Literally, it would be 2am and I would scream into my pillow for the pounding to stop! They would prop open a side door that was for THE APARTMENTS leaving those who lived in the building at risk. On more than one occasion I found homeless people in the building, and every time it was because the Profiles staff had left the side door open. Please note that the “side” door was on Broadway and not a small opening in an ally. Every time I would complain about the noise of the shows or the construction Profiles would lie and say they were not responsible for any noise violations. I can’t tell you enough how much I hated this theater company, and their total lack of respect for the people who paid good money to live in that building. I had to move out because I couldn’t take it anymore. I hope this theater closes
