Re: “Out on Their Cans, With Cancer

What a wonderful bunch of....fellows. I'm beyond trying to rationalize any thing they do anymore. Just sickens me. Besides I don't want Mr. Miner or the original IAC jumping all over me for not conforming to their views on this "open forum".

Re: “They Used to Drive by Night

One thing comes to mind right away. Thats Tyree's email back to Jack. If you'll notice, and I know Jack only worked for Tyree for one year, but not even a thank you for your hard work and dedication, even if it's one lousy stinking year. The least you could have done Mr. Tyree was thank Jack and ALL the people that worked for you for that year. Hell, lie to them, your track record shows your good at that.

Joe Turillo. Good luck with your journey. I hope you and the others succeed. You have my support and the support of others I'm sure, that went there and did our jobs under the circumstances to the best of our abilities.

Re: “A Hard One to Spin

To the author. If you don't like what people have to say, then don't read the comments. You can sit there and cast judgement on me and anyone else you choose to, but in reality, I'm not sorry for what I said. I'm sorry for your father and brother-in-law. I'm sure their people of the highest moral character. These are people with no morals what-so-ever. Me and everyone else in that company were brought in to a meeting and looked in the eyes and were asked to give back nineteen percent. Our nineteen percent was "all the company need to sustain" we were told. Well, now that there is a fifty to sixty percent reduction in workforce, probably more. Good hardworking people laid off in the environment were in, AND no pension. While Mr. Tyree and his cronies wait for the economy to turn around and scythe a windfall. No Mr. Miner, I will NOT do it on another forum. YOU wrote THIS article. I will voice MY opinion HERE.

The Original IAC. The only thing I can say to you is. I hope you don't have to go through what we all have been going through. This didn't start last week or last month. We all have seen this business deteriorate for years now. And I don't mean the newspaper industry in general. I'm talking about a company that our fathers and grandfathers worked at. When you were proud to call yourself a newspaper man. See what you would do after a pilfering of $600 million dollars, your pension gone in the blink of an eye, more concessions than you were told. Just taken from us. And don't even for one minute pretend to know who I am, or how I should act in a situation like this. For most of us this wasn't a "job", it was a way of life. A way for us to feed our families, educate our children, but roofs over our heads. So save your despicable and immoral comment, for the people that really deserve them. I really would like to tell you what you could do with those comments, but I'll refrain.

Sad STM journalist. "What I do wish is that they would have been honest with us from the start. I wish that they wouldn't have deflated our unions."

And I wish I would have been born a Rockefeller. Well, he did it. Just like he planned from the beginning. He used you, me and everyone else in that company for his own greed. Sold you a line of s#^t along with the rest of us through his puppet Jeremy Halbreich to get what he wanted. Jeremy, that piece of garbage is laughing all the way to the bank. Did anyone see what he did at the Dallas Morning News. Didn't he do the same thing there at your level?

"Everyone talks about what a great businessman Mr. Tyree is. There is no evidence of that yet."

On the contrary, he is very good. We all bought into his lies. His agenda from the beginning, in my opinion of course.

"I really hope he lives long enough to renegotiate with the unions when the time comes and then does the right thing."

This has got to be a joke right? Your not serious in believing this are you? What makes you think he is going to do the right thing now after what you've seen to this point? Do you think he is going to see the light on his death bed? Another "wish" on your part?

Barrister. Thank you for your support. I guess I'll be seeing you in Hell. Were despicable and sociopaths, isn't that were we end up?

Re: “A Hard One to Spin

As far as Tyrees' medical condition, I don't feel sorry for him in the least bit. He and others like him (lying cheating scumbags) get what they deserve. Who I feel sorry for are the men that drove those trucks at all hours of the night, missing Holidays, getting stuck up and robbed delivering that rag they call a "Newspaper". What needs to be looked at is middle management who are running that paper in to the ground. The decisions made by these clowns has done nothing but sabotage the company and drive circulation even lower. Sure, lay off the drivers and everyone else who cared about this company and HIRE more middle management that are already two and three deep in most positions. Makes a lot of sense to me. I have seen nothing but incompetence and waste since 2000 when the "new facility was going to make us a stronger and better operation". Sorry to be so harsh ladies an gentleman but, Tyree, Black, Radler and the rest of "Corporate America" who do nothing but continue to screw the common working man who is just trying to feed his family can dye the slowest, most painful death there is. If that happens to be my fate in the end as well, so be it. Am I a disgruntled employee, your damn right I am. Me and every other person that worked/works there have done nothing but do what they asked of us, and for what, to see our pensions be taken from us and they get rewarded. Its about time that "Corporate America" treat the "common worker" with a little dignity and respect. After all, were the ones doing what your not willing to do. And thats actually work for our pay checks.
