Interlude | Chicago Reader

Rossano Brazzi and June Allyson drift through this 1958 remake of John Stahl's When Tomorrow Comes; she's an American on the loose in Europe; he's a moody, romantic symphony conductor with a mad wife stashed away. For once Douglas Sirk seems totally defeated by the material, though he does manage some characteristically intense work near the end. With Francoise Rosay and Jane Wyatt. 90 min.
