If you're under 30, unemployed, and on the cusp of a nervous breakdown, there's some vicarious catharsis with your name on it in Cor Res's new romantic comedy, written by Bobby Hoffman and Julie Pearson. After Scott rage-quits his insurance job and not-so-wisely comforts himself by returning to his hometown with his girlfriend, things take a turn for the quirky. Some light paranormal activity, supplied in part by the appearance of Scott's childhood imaginary friend—a wisecracking half-dragon, half-Little Leaguer who plays air guitar on his spiky tail—keeps this otherwise textbook bildungsmisadventure charming. And watching Scott seriously take life advice from his hallucinated pal is a kick in the pants. —Jena Cutie
