While I am pleased that you took such a deep interest in the OSP [Organic School Project] program and have produced a very comprehensive and, for the most part, accurate look at our program, I am deeply horrified by the contention in the article ["What's Wrong With School Lunch?" May 25] that I don't "like" Alice Waters or Ann Cooper. What would have been much more accurate and less offensive would have been to say that I disagree with some of the approaches to remove food service companies from schools because I believe that change must come from within the system in order to truly reach every child and change the way we feed them. Alice Waters is an inspiration for me, and Ann Cooper is the leader in America taking bold actions to change the way we feed children. They have my respect and admiration.
