Cyclists will meet at five points around the city--Chess Pavilion, Daley Plaza, the Polish Triangle, Tenochtitlan Plaza, and the South Shore Cultural Center entrance--to ride to the Hyde Park Art Center for a discussion of how cycling has been politicized as a response to the proliferation of cars. Panelists include West Town Bikes founder Alex Wilson, biking activist Kathy Schubert, and Active Transportation Alliance advocacy director Adolfo Hernandez; Zach Furness, author of One Less Car: Bike Culture and the Politics of Cycling, moderates. A boxed meal will be provided. The bike ride is free.
