House of Bamboo

One of Samuel Fuller's best, a tough, sometimes nasty, but always exciting 1955 effort in 'Scope and color that unites three of his favorite topics: military comradeship, the underworld, and the Far East. Robert Stack stars as an American undercover agent who dissembles his way into the good graces of a Tokyo protection racket headed by psychotic American hoodlum Robert Ryan. With Cameron Mitchell, Shirley Yamaguchi, and Sessue Hayakawa.
