Home Run Inn | Pilsen/Little Village | Pizza | Restaurant
The baseball theme resonates; neighboring softball teams drop in for wings, burgers, beers.

Our Review

In 1923 Mary and Vincent Grittani decided to name their 31st Street tavern Home Run Inn after a hit from a neighborhood baseball game shattered the front window; in 1947 their son-in-law came up with a recipe for thin-crust pizza. The rest -- seven more locations and a frozen-foods business -- is history. Besides pizza, the now-420-seat restaurant serves sandwiches, pastas, oversize desserts, and appetizers like chicken wings.
