An independent film by Bobby Roth (The Boss's Son) about two old friends—a businessman (Nick Mancuso) and a painter (Peter Coyote)—and the trouble they have dealing with women. The film is set in the lofts, bars, and posh abodes of new-wave Los Angeles (watching it is like leafing through Architectural Digest), and the California cliches—about “relating,” “inability to make a commitment,” etc—run hot and heavy. But there are a few warmly playful sex scenes, and some pleasant surprises in the casting. With Carole Laure, Max Gail, James Laurenson, Carol Wayne, and Kathryn Harrold (1984).
