Romantic comedy
Romain Duris (Dans Paris, The Beat That My Heart Skipped) is plausibly cast as a man who can seduce any woman he sets his sights on but who uses his superpowers for good and never evil. Aided by his sister (Julie Ferrier) and brother-in-law (Francois Damiens), he hires himself out to the concerned friends and relatives of women who'd be better off without their jerk boyfriends. The team maintain an unblemished track record until they violate their own professional code by agreeing to target a socialite (Vanessa Paradis) happily engaged to a seemingly perfect man (Andrew Lincoln). It's fun to watch the habitually intense Duris relax somewhat in a light comedy role, and director Pascal Chaumeil gets good mileage out of the team's ridiculously elaborate con games. In French with subtitles.
