Let me get this straight:

Just because I agree with them on one point, Andy Thayer (Letters, December 22) says I am in "fine bourgeois company, having joined the bigots' club of Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, and yes, Bill "Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Clinton."

I guess that means Comrade Thayer has joined the "Guilt by Association Club" of Roy Cohn, Joe McCarthy, and yes, Richard "Pumpkin Papers" Nixon.

Or are these both just ad hominem attacks?
