Greaser's Palace

Robert Downey Sr.—underground guru of the tasteless, blender of the aggressively outrageous and the cloyingly cute—directed this 1972 feature about a zoot-suited Christ on a pilgrimage to Hollywood. Murky and ill timed, but a few laughs survive Downey's technical ineptitude. Reminiscent of Simon of the Desert, only without the ideas.
