Dear editor,

On April 12 Ben Joravsky's Neighborhood News column ran a wonderful story about Lindblom High School and its fledgling drama program. Lindblom's students worked all year on a production of August Wilson's Two Trains Running. At the time the article was written there was a miscommunication between myself and Richard Pettengill, director of the Goodman Theatre's educational outreach program.

The article stated that the Goodman had not responded to my request for assistance. Since that time I have had nothing but a positive response from the Goodman. The cast went down to the theater and was treated to a viewing of the Goodman's production of Two Trains Running. Additionally, I have recently been informed that Lindblom has been accepted into the Goodman's "Student Subscription Series." This program allows high school students the opportunity to explore drama in the classroom and then see it performed on the stage. The Goodman has proven that it is committed to helping bring the arts to inner-city students. I anticipate a wonderful experience in the coming school year and am confident that the Goodman Theatre and Lindblom High School have begun a relationship that will benefit both parties for years to come.
