To the editors:

If Paul Pekin truly believes he is a "not good enough" writer, let me tell you, he certainly knows his feelings and expresses them beautifully and powerfully. Having just gone through the Extended Care saga with my own mother, I know of what he speaks. The alternatives are dismal and the grief immense. Your story [April 19] was poignant, sad, but absolutely true.

So many of us are going through this turmoil--many more need to read your story and find solace. A support group is a good idea, but your article is a start. I'm copying it and sending it to my siblings.
