To acquire even the technical skills required to become a

recording engineer takes sacrifice, sweat, and countless hundreds of (undercompensated) hours. Match that with the creativity and people skills it takes to collaborate with artists in the studio, when they are at their most vulnerable, and you have a rare individual indeed. Thank you Peter Margasak for eulogizing so well (Phil Bonnet, 2/12) one of the good guys, from the way-small credits, who made a difference with a lot of musicians for a long time.
