To the editors:

In the story by Ben Joravsky in Neighborhood News (October 30, 1987), neither the author nor the Recycling Center mentioned that there is also a special pickup in Edgewater, specifically at 5734 N. Winthrop (alley) on the second Thursday of each month.

I recycle my glass and newspapers. I don't generally buy things in cans.

The Recycling Center is willing to make Edgewater a part of its regular route if more residents and block clubs would call to express interest.

I've heard objections from metaphysicians that recycling is unnecessary because we cannot exhaust God and God is the source of all supply.

Well, I am a metaphysician, but I also support ecology and wise use of all resources.
