The centerpiece of this World AIDS Day program of seven videos, Kit Hung's 38-minute Buffering, is a meditation on the ambiguities of love and illness. A lethargic pall hangs over a Swiss man and a friend who visits him in bed while he sleeps and speaks to him via a magic rock that functions as a videophone. The characters drift through a fever dream, their bodies sometimes breaking up into pixels when they aren't too tired to move at all. Gwynedd Tremblay's Fecund combines a poetic voice-over and images projected on a body to tell of the speaker's longest “relationship”—with HIV. Some of the video makers will attend. 73 min.
