Elliott Gould as a conscience-stricken graduate student in a radical chic exercise that seemed hilariously dated even at the moment it came out (1970). It's hard to imagine a time when Elliott Gould was considered the spokesman for an alienated generation, but, God help us, it really happened. Richard Rush directed, in the same jazzed-up style he would later (and more appropriately) apply to The Stunt Man. With Candice Bergen, Jeff Corey, and Max Julien.
